With a BAGTAG electronic bag tag, passengers can check in and update their baggage label before arriving at the airport. Instead of queuing to print a paper tag, your bag is ready to go when you are. For passengers flying with Icelandair, this process is already in place via the BAGTAG app.
How it works

- Check in for your flight as normal
- Update your bag tag in the BAGTAG app
- Arrive at the airport and proceed directly to bag drop

By arriving with baggage already tagged, passengers can move more quickly through the terminal, reducing time spent in busy check-in areas and helping ease congestion during peak periods.
BAGTAG is currently supported by 20 airlines worldwide and is designed to be reused for every journey, meaning one tag can replace hundreds of paper tags over time.
