This year, Keflavík Airport participated in DesignMarch for the first time with the exhibition “New connections are gaining ground”, which focused on the importance of innovation and collaboration in developing future solutions.

KEF has, in previous years, supported DesignMarch by hosting exhibitions at the airport, but this year the aim was to open a window into the work that takes place at the airport and show how design can have a positive impact on the experience of passengers, staff and partners. For Keflavík Airport, participation in DesignMarch is not only about presenting development projects, but also about strengthening ties with the community through dialogue and creating new connections between different disciplines.

The exhibition was open from 7–10 May and many guests came to learn about the upcoming projects, discuss ideas and experience how new connections can become a driving force for positive change.

The family workshop "Dream Airport" was also held in collaboration with Þykjó, where children and adults were able to let their imaginations run wild and create an environment for their own future airport. The family workshop was very popular and created a fun athmosphere.

Keflavík Airport thanks everyone who visited the exhibition for their attendance, interest and stimulating conversation.
