The corridor used by arriving passengers as they leave the baggage reclaim hall has been expanded and upgraded. These changes were implemented with the passenger experience in mind, while also addressing the needs of the airport’s growing operations.
One of the Terminal’s Oldest Unchanged Areas
This is one of the oldest parts of the airport, having remained largely unchanged for decades.
Construction on the section of the customs corridor accessible to passengers is now complete. The corridor was expanded and slightly repositioned. Additionally, upgrades are being made to the back-of-house facilities used by customs staff.
Improved Arrival Area and Passenger Flow
Alongside the work on the customs corridors, the arrival vestibule of the terminal was expanded, and the facilities for car rental agencies and bus companies were relocated. Together, these changes create better passenger flow and provide more space for arriving passengers and others moving through the area.
The project was completed in the autumn of 2026.
