Alaska Airlines to Launch Daily Flights to KEF Next Summer

The U.S. carrier Alaska Airlines will begin direct flights between Keflavík Airport (KEF) and Seattle in the summer of 2026. The route is scheduled to launch on May 29 and will operate daily from Alaska Airlines' home base at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) — a key hub for the western United States and Canada.
We are delighted to welcome Alaska Airlines, which will further strengthen Keflavík Airport’s air connections to North America through its home base in Seattle. It will increase travel options for those visiting Iceland or connecting through KEF. Demand for flights from North America continues to grow, and the arrival of Alaska Airlines highlights both the appeal of Iceland as a destination and the strength of our airport as an international hub.

Keflavík Airport will be one of Alaska Airlines first destinations in Europe when the service begins next summer.
Iceland remains a bucket-list destination for adventure lovers and outdoor enthusiasts, and KEF will continue to serve our guests as a convenient gateway to the European continent. The launch of direct flights to KEF is accelerating our vision to connect guests with the world by seizing this moment to redefine the international experience and level up.
