Longer security waits expected
Possibility of longer than usual wait times at KEF security screening
A significant number of passengers are expected to be at Keflavík Airport in the coming days. Many of the visitors who have travelled to Iceland in recent weeks for the August 12 total solar eclipse are departing the country. As a result, passengers may during some parts of the days experience longer-than-usual wait times at security screening.
All security screening lanes at the airport will be open, and our staff will be on hand to assist passengers as much as possible.
