Changes to Duty-Free Stores at Keflavík Airport
The duty-free stores at Keflavík Airport will reopen under a new brand, ÍSLAND Duty Free, on May 7 as a new operator, Heinemann, takes over the retail operations.
As part of this transition, changes will be made to the duty-free stores in the arrival and departure halls, as well as the gate store. All locations will be temporarily closed for several hours while these changes are implemented. The closures will not affect the flow of passengers through the terminal.
To ensure a smooth transition and make necessary adjustments to the retail areas, all duty-free stores will close temporarily from the evening of May 6 until the morning of May 7, according to the following schedule:
- Departure Hall Store: Closes May 6 at 20:00, reopens May 7 at 04:00
- Arrival Hall Store: Closes May 6 at 23:00, reopens May 7 at 07:00
- Gate Store: Closes May 6 at 20:00, reopens May 7 at 09:00
During the closures, passengers who are unable to shop at ÍSLAND Duty Free will receive a 20% discount voucher, redeemable (for one year) during their next visit to the duty-free stores.
