Summer is now in full swing at Keflavík Airport, and the new staff have begun working on a range of engaging and varied tasks. With an estimated 5.6 million travellers expected to pass through the airport over the summer months, making it essential that these customer service positions are well staffed.

A total of 249 people were hired for summer jobs at the airport this year. "About 33.7% of those hired had worked for Isavia before, which means we have a strong group of both newcomers and experienced employees," Brynjar adds.

Isavia offers a wide variety of summer positions at the airport. The majority—150 people—were hired for roles in security screening and monitoring. Another 49 joined the passenger services team, which includes assisting travellers with reduced mobility. Additional roles include shuttle services, parking assistance, airport operations, and more.
With a strong, enthusiastic team in place, Keflavík Airport is ready to welcome and serve the many travellers expected during the busy summer season.
