Waving the flag for sustainability on UN SDG Flag Day

Today, September 25th, is SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) Flag Day. This is an opportunity to raise awareness of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, show commitment to the Goals, and ignite more corporate action for achieving Agenda 2030, by waving the SDG flag.

The purpose of the Flag Day is to remind people of the importance of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and to encourage companies, governments, institutions, NGOs, schools, and municipalities around the world to show their commitment to these goals and The actions they require.

We have been a member of the UN Global Compact since 2017. Through this, we commit to working on the UN’s ten fundamental principles regarding social responsibility in the areas of human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption efforts. We also actively work with the SDGs, focusing on Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, Goal 9: Innovation and Infrastructure, Goal 13: Climate Action, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals.

In collaboration with UN Global Compact and the United Nations Association of Iceland, we proudly display the SDG Flag at KEF Airport, reaffirming our commitment to these goals.
