As the main hub for travellers within Iceland, Keflavík Airport has always strived to ensure that visitors are welcomed with unrivalled Icelandic charm that leaves passengers not wanting to say goodbye. We don’t want anyone to feel as if they’ve missed out. With ‘Bless’ meaning Goodbye in Icelandic, The Bless Programme has been designed specifically to offer insight into our world here in Iceland, curating experiences that incorporate our wonderful bars, restaurants and other spaces that really showcase Iceland’s character through food, drink, art and music. The experience offers a friendly goodbye to our visitors.

The Bless Tours
Four tours, made for you, hosted by locals.
The food tour
This tour will take guests on an exploration through various restaurants at the airport, meeting chefs and tasting produce such as Icelandic lamb, fresh Icelandic fish, skyr and hot dogs from Bæjarins Beztu Pylsur, which have been slated as some of the best in the world.
Hosted by Hafliði Halldórsson - Special chef to the President of Iceland and former manager of the Icelandic Culinary Team with more than twenty years of experience working in food, specialising in local cuisine.
The art tour
This tour discover works from the around the airport. There are more than 20 pieces of art within and in the surrounding grounds of the airport. From hand-painted ceramic murals, to magnificent stained-glass artworks, to 24m high rainbow sculpture, the artworks are all from Icelandic artists inspired by the local landscapes and scenery.
Hosted by Hlin Helga Gudlaugsdottir: Head of a curated design series in Iceland called DesignTalks, as well as an experienced designer and consultant to companies on design thinking, innovation and creative leadership.
The drinks tour
Hosted at Loksins Bar, this liquid discovery will give guests the chance to sample local favourites such as Snorri (Icelandic Ale), award-winning Gull beer (Icelandic Pale Ale). There will also be Icelandic Black Death, Brennivín snaps, award winning gin, an Icelandic cream liquor and Icelandic red wine, via France.
Hosted by Georg Leite - Icelandic-based bar-tender and owner of Kaldi Bar in Reykjavik, regarded as one of the country’s best venues for cocktails.
The music tour
Iceland through Music will host guests on a sound journey, listening to Icelandic ranging from rock to rap including Mezzoforte, Björk, Of Monsters and Men, Sigurrós, Kaleo and Laufey.
Hosted by Sigtryggur Baldursson - Former drummer of The Sugarcubes and a passionate promoter of Icelandic music.
